We’re all about innovation. Just check out our extra equipment. We have the Kona Mini, the Kona Kiosk, the Kona Trailer and the brand new KEV 2.0. You can add points of sale without having to buy another truck.
The truck is amazing. It’s built for this business. But we understand that there are certain types of events and venues where the truck just isn’t the best option. So, we didn’t leave you hanging. Instead, we’ve been innovating with our equipment since the beginning.
We have four pieces of extra equipment that fit almost every situation and solve the issue of seasonality. Each piece of our ancillary equipment has it’s own unique set of pros. As you run your business and decide you need more points of sale, you’ll have the opportunity to look closely at what piece of equipment will work best for you.
KEV
Our Kona trucks aren’t just trucks, they’re Kona Entertainment Vehicles. It perfectly describes what we’re all about! Our shaved ice trucks scream fun and excitement from the shiny chrome wheels, the colorful characters and the tropical steel drum music that whisks you away to a tropical paradise.

The Fin: this helps our truck stand out and give us a different look – it’s not just a box truck!

Flavorwave: this is our patented Flavorwave, it’s what truly sets us apart! Put as much of as many flavors on as you want!

Menus: our menus are built into the wrap of the truck, but we also have specific areas where you can swap out your signage.

Strobe Light: the strobe light on the top of your truck is a safety feature alerting other people that you’re in the area.

Cab: our cab is outfitted with some of the best new equipment, including the screen for your back up camera.

Wheels: the state-of-the-art wheels are sure to attract attention – just be sure to keep them shiny!
KEV 2.0
The KEV 2.0 is just a smaller version of the KEV. It is brand new in our lineup of extra equipment and we’re excited to see this little guy hit the streets! It may be smaller in size, but it has the same serving capacity as our regular truck.

KONA MINI
The Kona Mini is the smallest member of our Kona Ice equipment family and for good reason: it fits indoors! The Kona Mini was our solution to the issue of seasonality. For those franchisees who want to operate year round the Kona Mini is the perfect piece of equipment.

Size: The Kona Mini is designed to fit through any regular doorway.

Flavorwave: The Flavorwave is a little smaller, only holding six flavors, but it does have spigots on both sides to help with serve speed.

Wheels: It comes equipped with chrome golf cart rims – these wheels act like wagon wheels and are easy to maneuver.

Top: The top of the Mini opens up to gain access to the flavor jugs.

Operating Area: The operating area contains the shaver and four cup holders.

Audio: Just like the KEV, we have Bose speakers that are accessed through the front panel.

Pull Handle: The mini has a detachable handle that allows it to be pulled like a wagon.
KONA KIOSK
For those franchisees that secure contracts at semi-permanent venues, the Kona Kiosk is the piece of equipment you’re looking for. It’s easily towed, has a large presence and is a much lower investment than a Kona truck.

Shaver: The same shaver that sits in the KEV, sits in the Kiosk.

Flavorwave System: A slightly modified version of our Flavorwave sits inside the Kona Kiosk.

Flavorwave: This Flavorwave houses ten flavors, just like the KEV, but it runs a little smaller in size.

Adjustable Wheels: When the kiosk is in motion, the front two wheels retract up in to the base.

Adjustable Roof: With the flip of a switch, the top extends up to 12 feet.

Sink: The Kona Kiosk comes equipped with two sinks.

Hood: This compartment is built to store items for a long day of events.
KONA TRAILER
We took the truck and cut off the cab to form the Kona Trailer. This piece of equipment is designed specifically for permanent venues such as zoos, amusement parks or water parks. It has the exact same capacity as the Kona truck at a fraction of the cost.

Awning: These awnings complete the top of the tiki hut that’s on the side of the trailer.

Signage: We have four places for signage on your trailer. Simply slide in a menu and close the latch.

Flavorwave: On the trailer, you have the exact same Flavorwave that is present on the KEV.

Bose Speakers: It comes equipped with four Bose speakers, just like the KEV.

Battery Box: Here is where your batteries are stored – you’ll want to check these at least once a month.

Hitch: This is what separates it from the KEV – it’s missing the front part and two of it’s wheels. This hitch makes it easy to tow.
